Chili Johns

While on our way to Lowe's in Burbank, on a mission to get tsome supplies for our Bathroom Remodel that's about to begin, we decided to take a slight detour and visit one of our favorite spots in all of Los Angeles. Chili Johns. If you like chili you NEED to go here and have a bowl. It's so dang good! You can get it over beans, over spaghetti, on a hot dog, or however you like it, but once you do get it don't forget to add plenty of oyster crackers, some grated cheese, some cold sour cream, and some banana peppers! Oh yeah, and make sure you get it extra spicy...hehehe. Just thinking about it is making me drool right now. Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm Good!

Big Bear MTB Madness

Me and a bunch of friends got up at the crack of dawn this morning and drove up to Big Bear for a day of Mountain Biking. I got up at 5:30 am to load up all the gear and get everything ready so we could hit the road by 7. Its about a 2 hour drive up the mountain from Los Angeles, and the Scenic Sky Chair Lift opened at 9 am so you've gotta do what you've gotta do if you want get as many runs in as possible. Upon arrival we geared up and got ready to roll. Our other 2 friends were still about an hour away so we decided to get in a warm up run before they arrived. We took the lift up and did the most basic route up there, 2N10 to 2N08 which is basically a bunch of fire road to bomb, with some climbing mixed in. Damn thats a fun trail! By the time we got back down the mountain the rest of our crew had arrived so we took the lift back up the mountain and went exploring. We decided to make a left at the summit, and headed off into the unknown. A few minutes into the ride i spotted a singletrack branching off from the main trail and we all decided to see where it went. The first half of this singletrack was hard packed and pretty fast, with lots of twists and turns through the forest, then it got crazy! It pretty much went from basic riding, to some extremely rocky and super technical downhill singletrack (which I didn't mind one bit). All of us had to ditch our bikes at one point or another to avoid a serious bail, and after a half hour of some non stop brake squeezing action we made it to the bottom. That seemed to set the tone for the rest of the day, as we would ride the fire roads for a bit until someone saw a singletrack that we would take until meeting up with another fireroad. It was pure fun and tons of exploration up on the mountain. There was lots of super fast bombing, some technical stuff and even some hike a bike, but at the days end it was one of the most fun rides I've ever been on. Each of us were caked from head to toe in dust and it took about a half hour just to clean up before we could drive back. Also nobody got injured (although there were some close calls) or had any major bike malfunctions, so that made the ride even better. Unfortunately, since Winter is almost upon us, the sky chair will only be open until some time in November, so you better get up there soon if you want to hit it up! I know I will be back at least once more before it gets closed down... SEE YOU THERE!

Surprise Wedding

Tonight my fiance and I went to our friend Brian's "Engagement Party", and it wound up being a surprise wedding. Everyone was pretty surprised, there was tons of delicious food, and we both had a great time. We only stayed for a few hours though since I have to wake up super early tomorrow for a mountain biking trip up to Big Bear...

Lauren's B-Day @ The Yardhouse

My cuz turned 26 on Friday, and she celebrated her special day at the Yard House in Pasadena. It was kind of packed and took about an hour to get a seat, but the wait was worth it since they have so many tasty beers on tap, and their food is excellent as well. I had the Jalapeno Burger like I usually do and had a couple of beers from around the world in the mean time. Everyone seemed to have a good time, but I guess a bunch of lamo's skimped on the bill so my other cousin (Lauren's Retarded Brother Mongy) had to pay for most of it. LAME!!! Hey dont look at me I threw in $70 and all I had was a burger and a beer!

Gargantuan Sandwich Heaven

My fiance and I went to one of our favorite sandwich places this weekend, the legendary Pasadena Sandwich Company. Although we mainly get the Reuben there, every sandwich I have tried so far has been delicious, and they area always colossal in size. I would definitely recommend sharing an order with who ever you go with, and even that can wind up being more than you can take down in one sitting. Oh yeah don't forget the potato salad either, its da bomb! Sorry for the micro pics of the place, I guess the resolution on my phone camera was too small or something...

Happy Friday Compliments of Herm Alley

This is a photo of Donut Time on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Highland Ave in Hollywood. It is otherwise known as "Herm Alley" due to it being the tranny and sleaze bag mecca of the area. Pray you never get lost here...
